In this role you will drives a laboratory team dedicated to performing analyses to support all kind of Autoliv Manufacturing and Technical Centers (France, Europe, World) and teams (Research, Quality, Problem Solving, Benchmarking and Production) on many different materials (gas, steel, plastics, oil, propellants, etc.)

If you think you'll like to manage the 2 main area with the following responsibilities at higher standards:

• Management: Manage a chemical laboratory with operator and technician. Define, KPIs, budgets (Opex and Capex), equipment maintenance and calibration, test databases, supplier management, standard work instructions, safety management, 5S, etc. Define the laboratory need and vision for short, medium, and long term, and manage budgets up to equipment installation, validation up to team training.

• Lead technical analysis and investigations: The Chemical Laboratory Manager oversees and realize himself multiple analyses and investigation requests, from request definition and analysis to final report and presentation. The technical activity deals with organic and mineral analyses, dealing with identification and quantification of materials. This includes gas analyses, residue analyses, analyses on any kind of inflators components, but also seatbelt, steering wheel, and airbag module components. An example of classical analysis can be (not limited to): Inflator and airbag modules combustion gases, pyrotechnical materials, Steel and metal alloys, Plastic and composite material, Surface analysis, Residues, Pollution, Glues, … before and after ageing.

The Chemical Manager is highly involved in quality concerns coming from all our technical centers and plants that are in contact with car manufacturers. The activity includes report creation, validation of the chemical lab reports, and test result presentation to local and worldwide customers.

and if you have/are:

• PhD in Chemistry
• Fluent in English
• Extensive experience (between 5 to 10 years) in analytical chemistry in industry or research laboratory
• Good knowledge of key techniques used on our lab: like Infra-Red, XRD, NMR, Chromatography
